Before Your Arrival to the Department of Commerce

In order to have a computer ready for you to use on your first day of work, the Department of Commerce will need at least one week prior notice from the hiring manager so we can obtain the proper data access for you.
NCID (North Carolina Identify Management) Registration: Prior to your first day of work at Commerce, your supervisor or the division/commission HR Representative should have registered you for a NCID user name ID and a temporary password. On your first day of work your supervisor or the HR Representative will provide you with this information so that you may register for your permanent password at the following website NCID (North Carolina Identity Management).
Computer Use MOU: You should have already signed and submitted the MOU (Information Resource Computer Access Memorandum of Understanding) form. If you have not done so, please see your supervisor. When this document is submitted, you will receive a username and password to sign on your computer. This document confirms that you understand that the state-owned computer assigned to you is used appropriately and for state business only.
For downtown Raleigh-based employees, please contact your supervisor or your division/commission HR Representative prior to your first day to have a parking lot and space number assigned to you. Please contact the Commerce Parking Coordinator at (919) 715-5600 if you have any questions about your parking space.
